Comprehensive Wellness Exams for a Healthier, Happier Pet
Is it time for a check up? Routine wellness exams support pets’ quality of life and your peace of mind.
At Horizon Veterinary Clinic, We Care About Pets and Their People
That’s why we offer comprehensive wellness exams that focus on preventative care, personalized health plans, and early detection to ensure your pet is thriving at every age.
When you bring your dog or cat in for their checkup at Horizon Veterinary Clinic, your pet will receive a full “nose-to-tail” diagnostic physical that can help catch issues early, treat current conditions, and prevent health challenges from developing.
What’s Included in a Wellness Exam?
Coat & Skin
During your pet's physical checkup, we will examine their skin or coat for signs of common issues, such as dandruff, lumps, bumps, and abnormal hair loss.
Face & Head
Your pet's eyes, ears, nose, and mouth will be examined for abnormalities or discharge, as well as for symptoms of oral health problems.
Internal Health
Comprehensive internal health exams include checks of heart rate and organ function to keep your pet’s essential systems in top shape.
Preventive Care Review
Your pet’s exam will also include a review of vaccine schedule and preventative care needs and nutritional care needs.
Kitten and Puppy Wellness Exams
Your furry new family member deserves a healthy start. During your puppy or kitten’s wellness exam, our veterinarian will perform a comprehensive physical evaluation and answer your questions about keeping your new pet healthy, active, and happy. Based on your pet’s age, health, and vaccination history, the veterinarian can recommend additional services such immunizations, deworming medication, and intestinal parasite testing.
